Watch 2000 During the next few weeks we will be starting a live Badger Watch webcam page on this website. Visitors will be able to see a family of badgers in real time, as they leave their setts at dusk in search of food and return before dawn. It is hoped that the webcam will be able to capture other badger activities, such as sett excavations and social interactions. Because badgers are mostly active at night, the webcam must be able to "see in the dark". We are currently testing a number of different methods of filming the badgers using infra-red sensitive cameras and infra-red lamps. One of the methods we are considering is a transmitter which will beam the picture signal from the camera through the air to a receiver connected to a computer, from where "grabbed" images will be uploaded to this website. Here are just a few of the images we have captured so far, using a variety of different cameras and techniques. |

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SPONSORS
FOR THIS EXCITING PROJECT.
PLEASE E-MAIL US IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP!
When the equipment is set up in front of the badger sett, the badgers will be completely unaware that their normally unseen activities are being watched by an audience from all around the world.
Once a satisfactory method of running the webcam has been found, live coverage of the badgers will start on the internet as soon as a sponsor is found! Please sponsor us if you can!
