Two or three generations a year, first generation pupate for two weeks. Second over winter, hatching in May.

Found throughout the British Isles.

Small White. Artogeia rapae
Almost anywhere on the reserve.
March to mid May and mid June to August.
Two generations, the second generation over winters, hatching in March.
Cabbage and other brassicas, Charlock, Hedge Mustard and Watercress.
Ireland and the British mainland to Southern Scotland.

May/June & July/August.
Two generations, the first generation hatches in two weeks. The second generation over winters and hatches in April.

British Isles except northern Highlands and Shetlands.

One generation which over winters and hatches in May.

Ireland and mainland Britain although absent from much of Scotland.
